David Archuleta’s Father Busted For Allegedly Soliciting a Prostitute

The creepy holier-than-thou father of David Archuleta was charged for allegedly soliciting a prostitute. Back on January 14, the Reiki Massage parlor was raided by the Midvale, Utah police on the grounds that it did not have a valid business license. Once inside, it was clear that prostitution was taking place with one client receiving sexual services. The police conducted an interview with the client who admitted he received sexual services in exchange for money.

According to court documents, the one client turned out to be 47-year-old James Jeffrey Archuleta, the father of American Idol runner-up David Archuleta. He was cited with a Class B misdemeanor, soliciting prostitution and was fined $582. Court documents say Archuleta waived his right to counsel and entered a six month plea in abeyance.

Of course his attorney, Eric Bauer, now claims that his client didn’t engage in any sex or sexual contact with the masseuse. In fact the attorney is claiming not only was it the first time Archuleta had ever visited such an establishment, but he was only there because of a back problem. Regardless Archuleta pled no contest to the incident, probably because he knew damn well he wasn’t there for any type of back problem.
