Nick Jonas Testifies at Congress, Quotes Self

16 year old Nick Jonas, of The Jonas Brothers, testified for JDRF on Wednesday, June 24, to request federal funding for diabetes research, and remind Congress about the urgent need for a cure for a disease he lives with every day. This could have been an epic fail, but we were impressed with his maturity and how well he spoke.

But he is a celebrity and didn’t miss an opportunity to plug himself and his band. Seriously, the quoting of his own song lyrics and plug for the Jonas Brothers’ 147 new projects seemed a bit random and out of place, but we can’t knock his hustle.

Later, Nick met President Barack Obama during a trip to the White House.
