Steven Tyler Quits Aerosmith?
That’s what is seems like to the band’s guitarist Joe Perry.
Joe tells The Las Vegas Sun that Steven has not been in touch with the group after their performance in Abu Dhabi. Perry says, ““Steven quit as far as I can tell. I don’t know anymore than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.”"
You would think a group of people that have known each other since Jesus was baby would know for certain, but apparently Steven is not taking any of the band members’ phone calls.
According to Joe, “He has had no contact with me or the other band members. He’s notorious for that, that’s one thing I’ve learned to live with. I try to overlook it.”
It seems Joe and the rest of Aerosmith are not above replacing Steven if he has indeed quit. Joe says, “As far as replacing Steve… We’ll probably find somebody else that will sing in those spots where we need a singer and then we’ll be able to move the Aerosmith up a notch, move the vibe up a notch.”
Joe is seriously guzzling the crazy juice if thinks he can replace Steven. Absolutely insane. Steven IS Aerosmith, so Joe and the others need to hang it up and live off the gazillion dollars they have earned throughout their 2,000 year old career or rename the band if they’re going to hire another frontman.
