NHL star Mike Fisher confirmed Monday morning he is engaged to country music star Carrie Underwood.
The couple have dated for more than a year after being introduced by one of her band members at Carrie’s Ottawa concert in March, 2008.
According to sources, Mike popped the question Surrounded by his family and friends at his home on Sunday.
The couple has usually kept the details of their relationship private, though Carrie called out their romance in the liner notes of her latest album ‘Play On.’ “I love you so much!” she wrote to Mike. “You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day.”
This will make the first marriage for both.
